Summer Transition Series
The Duke Summer Transition Series is designed to assist in the pre-matriculation of new students, parents, and families to Duke University. Assisting the Blue Book timeline this series is developed around the following principles:
- Create additional programming support during the months of May - August
- Provide accurate information on summer “action based” transition items
- Establish an electronic medium to facilitate university and student interaction
- Enhance our outreach to an ever increasing Global community
Via Adobe Connect we are providing real-time opportunities for the incoming Class of 2013 to interact with members of the Duke community. The medium for communication is an online, interactive event application designed to give students an opportunity to communicate with “experts” regarding specific topic areas throughout the summer. All programs are hosted over the Internet and software requirements are minimal to participate (if you can check email and view a YouTube video, your system is compatible).
Below you find our schedule of events for the summer. Details for participating in the live events will be sent to all students via email 48 hours prior to start. If you can’t participate during the scheduled times you will find a recording of the presentation at http://nsfp.studentaffairs.duke.edu the following day.
